The stacked plates are assembled and clamped together with tightening bolts, into a single frame. Gasketed plate heat exchangers use large surfaces of corrugated plates drawing heat from one gas or liquid to the other. With compact units, the highest thermal efficiency, ease of adapting to changes,  GPHEs are particularly suitable for large flows and high cooling capacities.
