What is a Semi-welded Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger?

The semi welded plate heat exchanger is composed of welding flow channels and conventional flow channels alternately. The welding flow channel is a plate group formed by welding two plates at 180 degrees to each other. Each plate group is sealed with a sealing gasket to form a detachable conventional flow channel. The plate group is assembled between the fixed frame and the moveable plate and tightened by tightening the bolts. The corrosive medium flows through the welding flow channel, and the conventional medium flows through the conventional flow channel and complete counter-current flow is created for the highest possible efficiency. The corrugation of the plates provides the passage between the plates, supports each plate against the adjacent one and enhances the turbulence, resulting in efficient heat transfer. This design can increase the turbulence intensity of the medium when it flows through the heat exchanger, improve the heat exchange efficiency and reduce the pressure loss. Even if the medium flow rate in the heat exchanger is very low, a high heat exchange efficiency can be achieved.

Advantage
